for me, I write only the keywords said by the lecturer and I go back to research about it but a more effective way would be to write in shorthand as the dash, strokes and dots help save time. You can also try recording the lecturer's voice on a device and listen to it while studying; you won't miss out on any part of the lecture if you do this.
